my current lifemates
So one day out in space I saw the most beautiful light, and it spoke: "Everything will be ok". And as far as cosmic messages go, that's very lame.
About me, well, I was made a rebel without a cause. It sounds cool but its more pointless. Also it is very impossible for me to be badass, which is what I would like the most. Just to scare kids and old folks a little. It also makes my charade that much less cool. Some of my favorite things are:
1. Sunlight 2. Fresh fish 3. Dr. Pepper

In all sincerity I want to know what you know. I want the closest thing to the truth, and when you hold out all you do is tell me more. I don't know very much at all, but I know what other people know, and thats good compensation.
I invent my homelands on both sides of the ocean. This, the expatriate's condition, is often intoxicating. Drunk with forms, images, rhythms - both those left behind and those that greet one (at times, like office functionaries but often, caressingly, like lovers) - one plays the incidental role of witness. I used to wish of being an old man on his death bed, longingly daydreaming the blessings and curses I'd mutter to brat nieces and nephews. My eyes mist a little at the morbid thought. But you have to have something to reminisce about in your old age, so I'm stuck in the here and now with the fleeting grace of youth and damned to make the best of it.
