"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts." -Mark Twain
America’s youth is in need. From the obesity epidemic that negatively impacts the health of millions of children … to the lack of positive stimulation ...to the diminished access to outside influences in the classroom … to the dropping numbers of new memberships in our nation’s charitable clubs and organizations.
For many across America, these are troubling signs of things to come … plus, an overstressed healthcare system … communities at risk from lack of involvement … and students maturing without required life tools to deal successfully with the world at large … all starting at home and in their own neighborhoods.
Chris Figureida is putting his life on the line to make a difference.
After successful completion of his Cycle for Heart Program, he’s is teaming again with the American Heart Association. He’s focused on his goal to motivating students and now he is reaching for the stars. Literally. Figuratively. Chris seeks to engage children in more healthy lifestyles …and making a positive difference in the world by starting with themselves with healthy habits.
At nearly 23,000 feet, Mt. Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside of the Himalayas. Towering outside the Argentine city of Mendoza, it’s the Stone Sentinel of the Andes.
With the help of veteran climbers, Doug Hamilton and Mike Greene; along with Chris -- these three men will attempt to climb one of the Seven Summits, explore and display the beautiful country of Argentina via satellite connection, for students across the United States to learn about life ... about challenge … and empowering them make a personal difference in the vast world in which we live.
Please join us on our inspiring and eye-opening journey south of the Equator.
