Located in historic Baltimore's cultural center, Read Street Books offers a welcoming space for creative inspiration and expression. Our mission is to promote and nurture the community and independent thought via the written and spoken word, art, and music.**AT THIS TIME we DO NOT have a BUILT in AUDIENCE**DO YOUR PROMOWe feature new and used books, and vintage paperbacks, espresso, herbal teas, Italian sodas and a lite menu. Our coffees are from Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company, a small-batch roaster whose proceeds support the Save the Bay Foundation.We have space available for meetings, workshops, classes, and live musical events. ===========

You must run your own sound) and piano.The main performance area seats about 25. Additional seating is available on the 2nd and 3rd floor for a total capacity of about 60. A video-cam, screens and the sound system allow guests on the upper floors to enjoy the performances on the main stage.We schedule performances on Friday and Saturday nights.Please make sure your email submission includes: Full Name and web address (if applicable) for each artists, instruments played, along with the number of musicians submitting to perform (solo, duo, or trio.)Please indicate preferred performance dates. Email at least 1 MP3 file, and 1 photo or a link to your website or MySpace account which must contain MP3 files. Make sure that at least one of the files is musically stripped down with 1-3 instruments max. We do not want to receive over produced material which will make it difficult for us to determine your talent. We will make all attempts to respond within 14 days.Please specify compensation requested (cover charge of tip jar.)All musicians are able to sell their merchandise. We do not ask for a percentage of sales.Each musician receives a limited tab for food and drink.A contract agreement, photos and MP3 file must be received before date is confirmed! Why did it get so cold so quick?
