CHA!

About Me

I am a fricative, a monosyllabic utterance. I was popularised by The Police back in the late 70s-early 80s. Now I'm back! I've got balls. I've got wristbands. I've got people chanting me in sold-out stadiums. I am a profound pop subculture with an international following. I am a feeling, a way of being, an irresistibly positive energy. I've also become a phenomenon in R'n'B & Hip Hop. But when will my master sing me again? Come on everybody, help me spread the power of CHA!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The Police's microphone:

CHA! MANIA

Here's what the Chaists say:

“CHA! is one of the signature sounds of the Police. A Police show is not complete without CHA!. It's like doing the show without Andy.”
Plutonic (thepolice.com)

“The sound transcends the spelling and the meaning. It is neither. It is a feeling. Perhaps CHA! is not the expression of just one feeling. Perhaps it is the culmination of several feelings: joy, angst, energy, sorrow.”
Arecev (thepolice.com)

“I caught my 3 year old daughter singing out a line of "CHA!'s" the other day. My 6 old son then asked how to spell it out. I must have brainwashed them this summer with all that Police music!”
1993sport (stingus.net)

"The CHA!s are quick, and enthusiastic, and cathartic. CHA! is all the excitement and love and "SQUEE!" that a person has in their heart and soul poured into one word. When you CHA! you're at one with the universe, and all other creatures."
Sirdidymus (thepolice.com)

"Cha! (pronounced ccchha!. ) Act of ignoring argumentative voices of reason inside your head and walking aimlessly in a daze to get some fresh air."
Soyoung (thepolice.com)

"How can Sting repress the CHA ? The CHA is irrepressible!"
Mcclurer16 (thepolice.com)
