Described by Falseta.com as a performer “truly of international quality,†Juan Del Valle has worked with some of today’s leading flamenco artists including Jesus Montoya, Chuscales, Jason McGuire, Carmela Greco and La Tania. In March of 2004, Juan was selected to dance in the premier performance of Israel Galvan’s Torero al Lucinogen at the Teatro Central in Sevilla, Spain. Concurrently, he performed a five-month run in Sevilla as a soloist at the renowned tablao, La Carboneria with performances televised in New York and Europe. Juan Del Valle’s international career includes performances in Paris, France and in 1999 he traveled as a guest of the Chinese Government to perform in the internationally televised Beijing Culture Festival. In 2005, he joined Maria Benitez’s performing company, Teatro Flamenco and subsequently joined the faculty of the Institute for Spanish Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In September of 2005, the University of Zulia invited Mr. Del Valle to teach and perform in its international dance congress, Cuerpo Creativo sponsored by the Venezuelan Ministry of Culture. Based on the success of his classes, the University of Zulia offered him a full-time faculty position in its dance department. Also in 2005, he danced with the Jose Porcel Company from Madrid in the Los Angeles segment of their American tour. Mr. Del Valle has toured as a soloist throughout the US to cities including New York, Los Angeles, Hollywood, New Orleans, Atlanta, Denver, Boston, Detroit, Georgetown, and in July 2006 he taught at the ANGF National Dance Conference in Washington DC.Juan is also classically trained having earned a Deuxieme Médaille in juried exams at the Paris Conservatory. He has performed classical Spanish works including Carmen, Bolero, and Triana, and with symphony orchestras such as the San Francisco Pops Orchestra and the Reno Symphony Orchestra. In October of 2004, Juan performed La Vida Breve with Carmela Greco and Grupo Andanza.
