Mady Fernandez, better known as Citizen Jane, is a Miami native songwriter, composer and vocalist. Mady is most recognized as the lead singer and songwriter of the Spanish rock band Vladez. Prior to Vladez, Mady lead an all girl band that toured major cities in the U.S. as well as countries worldwide including Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, France, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa and New Orleans. In addition, she performed at dozens of local venues, events and hot spots throughout Miami including Macarena, Studio A, Tobacco Road, Churchill's Pub, Score and PS14 just to name a few.With a strong and loyal fan base, Mady has received acclaim and airplay on several media outlets throughout Miami with feature interviews on Amor 107.5 FM, Radio Caracol "A Todo Rock" 1260 AM & TV shows such as Frecuencia on Telemundo. Her music video "Amor, Expresion y Tu" has aired on Telemundo and several music television shows in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain, including Mtv Latino and Mun2. Citizen Jane has been featured in interviews on Fabrikalink.com and SHE Magazine's "indie chicks" October 2007 Issue. Komen fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. In November she parted from her band Vladez to pursue her solo music career. In August 2008 she was called by Telemundo to participate in a Reality TV Show for singer, songwriter, composer’s called "Letra y Musica". She was chosen as one of the 10 cast to participate on the show. Among hundred's of very talented singer, songwriter, composer’s who had auditioned for the show, she stood out for her unique style, charisma and strong vocal and song writing abilities. The show began shooting in September 2008 and airs on Telemundo every Friday at 10:30 PM.
