My biggest pride and joy in life is my son, Tristan, who at 9 years old, is smarter than most of the people I work with at the hospital (including idiot docs... we definitely don't have Dr. Gregory House working there). I look at Tristan and know that he is the reason I was born. He may be a little hyper, but damn it, he's my hyper boy. He gets his ADHD from me anyway.
I have a plethora of friends in my life, but only stay in touch with a select few. And by saying "in touch"... I may go a week or two without speaking to some BFF's because of my work schedule. I work 12 hour shifts, 3-4 nights a week. As Tristan gets older, I seriously debate returning to day shift. Not only would it be better for my new wedded bliss, but I would get a normal sleeping pattern, and be awake during daylight.
