I'm just your average guy. I play the bass guitar for a band called Metallica. It's getting kinda big now, but I'm just a fan like the rest of you, trying to make my own music. It's not like we become someone different on stage. Why should we change onstage? We're not trying to be something big and fancy, it's just us, doing what we do, we'd like to keep it that way. We do what we wanna do though, if you want to consider that selling out... Whatever... I've been playing bass for quite some time now, i have quite a bit of knowledge in music theory. I took bass lessons from September 1978 to January 1980. I like all kinds of music such as classical, blues, jazz and country, not just the thrash i play with Metallica. Before the bass, I played the piano... i started that at about six, i switched to the bass at about 14. I have a carefree attitude and i don't care about much more than music. I drive '72 VW station wagon... It's pretty fuckin' kick ass too. I have 3 albums out with Metallica. First is "Kill 'Em All," second is "Ride the Lightning," and third is "Master of Puppets." Go check them out, they're pretty good.
