About Me

A small band that started as a laugh (as all of them seem to) now picking up and loosing various members of the years there is only two left and a joke that runs between three of us, the third left to be the strong arm of the law and not a hippy :D.A two piece acoustic band now based in Falkirk, Davide 'Potter' Birse supplies the Guitar, Tambourine, backing vocals, drumming on the guitar and witty quips where needed. Adam 'Adamski' Donaldson is the power house of a voice behind the covers they perform at open mic nights and the origional meterial they are writing and passing about the place in the form of there Monsters & Pillow's E.P. and the forth comming Eventual Progress album.Between them they were awarded the 'David Gray shakey head award' for there music from the guys at The Falkirk Wall (www.thefalkirkwall.com) and both of us hope you enjoy our somber and somewhat depressing music.Apart from working, carrying on and writing music, DLM have been in the studio recording what they can and when, and fighting the woes of illness and the effect it has on voice and music. Adam currently runs the Open Mic and Live Music at Firkins bar in Falkirk on a Sunday and Thursday (www.myspace.com/firkinsislive) While Davide has put some attention into becoming a BaristaNew up is two recordings we did with ryan from Rock the Talk.Watch this space for morexx

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: this one or www.bebo.com/d-le-manchot
Band Members: Davide 'Potter' Birse - The supplier and purveyor of guitar, more guitar, some light singing, and more guitar, maybe a picture or two as well. (he is working on the Tambourine just now too)Adam Donaldson (the big one) - brings the voice to the band... a little bit of guitar, a little bit of the sax, a little bit of charm and all the jokes!!
Influences: Dave Matthews, Damien Rice, Tom McRae, Pink FLoyd, Death Cab For Cutie, Adeave, Incubus, Girls, Sunny days, Nights out, Nights In, The Really Really REALLY Bad Times, Strong Coffee and good cider a penguin... Plus many more.
Sounds Like: Good quality Vanilla Ice cream melting in the summer sun. (it's an in joke :),Also been said to be "Gid!".. "No Bad!".... "fun on stage"... "impressive" and to sounds like (wait for it)....."Adams like a male, Scottish Cerys Matthews and Potter's [Dave] like a guitar playing Elton John, but straight (some may disagree)"...Heh."Davide 'Potter' Birse - The supplier and purveyor of guitar. Adam Donaldson (the big one) - brings the voice to the band. First thing I noticed about the Myspace was that there was none of the comparisons to any ‘famous’ artists going around. So this two piece band get the Falkirk Wall’s ‘David Gray shaky head appreciation’ award this week. A sombre collection of songs, good music, and like a lot of bands understand the ethics of music, i.e good timing and a crisp guitar almost River Detectives like?Good Myspace, almost professional like. Well worth a look. Good take on All Along The Watchtower."- The Falkirk Wall's review... Cheers guys we appreciate the awards and we shall shake our heads in honor.
