THE DESIGNS SHOWN BELOW ARE SAMPLES OF THE CONCEPTS BEHIND MY CLOTHING...
As you might have figured I'm now taking on T-shirt screen printing (Therma Press also) and I'm diving into the apparel industry for the Love of this Hip Hop culture. I'm doing it for fun and for profit but mostly for the sake of our CULTURE & OUR PURPOSE. I will mainly be working with "ConsciousWear", I'm planning on having one main clothing line with "SUB" lines under it touching different topics like: Revolution -- HipHop (4 Elements) -- Spirituality -- Anti-Corporate -- The Ecology -- Pro-Hemp/Marijuana -- LatinoLife -- Political Issues -- Anti-N.W.O. -- Immigration, etc. I have plans for expansion in the future and will eventually carry items like hats, beanies, jackets, flags, kids, and womens clothing & accessories. For now I'll just stick to T-SHIRTS & HOODIES mostly mens' sizes (M-4XL). If anyone is interested in buying a shirt or hoodie hit me up! Let's change the way we dress my people! Let's give our clothing a bigger meaning! Remember the way we dress is also a form of expression. Don't just talk HipHop, be HipHop. HipHop is a way of life, don't get it twisted. "Be Hip to the truth, and Hop up and do something!"
Here goes a brief video intro of my country, the audio I believe is by a bi-lingual spansih speakin lil' boy but its alright. There's alot more to define Colombia but this here is what you could call the "civil, politically correct" version of our country. There's alot more to us and more beautiful things to see apart from this video but nontheless this is a good way to get a peek of my birthplace and nation. I do consider myself American and I love Americans, my latinos worldwide and all people in general but I have a PASSIONATE pride for my birth country, heritage, and my roots. Check out the video below...
I was born in Bogota, Colombia, JAN 4 1981. I lived in different areas neighboring Bogota as well as in Bogota 'til Aug. 1985 when my mother decided to look for a better future for both of us here in da U.S. Southern Cali 2 be exact. Giving birth at a young age (19) and dealing with a father who didn't bother is what put the most pressure on my mother to come to the U.S., and since for some it was the land of "milk and honey" she thought we'd be well off here. My mother and I entered the U.S. through Tijuana and settled in the city of Anaheim (O.C. - the poor folks area not the bullshit you see on T.V.). My mother met my step-father when I was 4 yrs old and he's the man who raised me since, though that was a bumpy road it's all turned out for the better. Things didn't always go well and hard work, conflict, and strife was my way of life, growing up wasn't easy but with hardship comes the strength of my character. Moving around alot and having trouble in schools always caused a constant change. I always had a "rebellious spirit", I always questioned, always observed and analyzed more than what most would. I was a kid hard 2 handle and even though most of my student life I was a straight A student my behavior always kept me in trouble, I've been to 21 schools in my lifetime from O.C. 2 L.A.C. & from Colombia 2 Mexico I've had my taste of different cultures, languages, customs and peoples. I entered the work force at the age of 8 at my own will and have always enjoyed working and being diverse in whatever type of work I do, I'm a natural born hustler and good salesmen. I've taken on all types of working fields where I've learn and mastered many abilities. I've also had hobbies like car audio, woodworking, construction, writing, poetry, art, exotic reptiles/pets, various sports, and others that have all added to my Diversity.
It's been a while since I've updated all the info on this "Bio" section. I posted all the info aside from this paragraph more than 2 years ago and I feel there's a major update that's past due that I need to include on my page. I've shared alot about myself, my upbringing and what's brought me to where I am now in the present and one major element in my life is my other half, my companion, best friend, and girlfriend; KAREN a.k.a. "Maaa Beauty" (for obvious reasons). I'm sure most that are close to me already know how much I'm into her and most have seen all the pictures in my album dedicated to her and I, however I want to show the whole world that I love this woman, she inspires me, motivates me, and makes me a better man. So here goes this lil slideshow of me and my better half enjoying ourselves in all kinds of places, parties, and shows. I threw a picture of her as a lil' girl because I think she looks sooooo cute but other than that one it's all pictures from the last year ('07-'08).
I LOVE YOU MAAA BEAUTY AND NOW THE WHOLE "WWW" CAN SEE IT AS WELL!
I've loved music since before I knew myself and I'm told by my family that in my early years I used to dance to common tunes on the radio and sing popular songs I picked up on. Growing up was somewhat of a musical culture clash for me though we were all latinos in my home. My step-father was born in Argentina and came to the U.S. in '78 at the age of 16 to Texas and then moved to L.A. in '82, he was an extreme music fan and in particular Rock Heavy Metal. My mother being from Colombia had her roots in music there but she admired "American" music. Coming from the disco era she was into the Pop/Funk sounds while still enjoying other 70's music and learning of more music during the early MTV era. I picked up on alot of my parents taste while I was still introducing myself to new sounds like HipHop, reggae, blues, oldies, techno, alternative rock, deep house, etc. I always had a deep passion for deep beats & deep melodies with deep lyrics so genre was never a factor. I also had an era where I absorbed alot of classical music. I've kept it pretty diverse in my music preferences as well as in my surroundings throughout my life. I'm universally influenced when it comes to music. I've always loved words and word play, and even though I was originally an ESL (English as Second Language) student I still managed to master the english language and always stayed ahead of my reading/spelling/grammar level. My parents and I became religious throughout the '90's which re-routed my way of thinking, habits, and general daily outlooks on life. I attended a spanish church for 10 years which greatly enriched my skills with the spanish language and not to mention my Biblical knowledge and spiritual connection with the Almighty. Knowing how to speak, read & write both English & Spanish at an advanced level and being passionate towards linguistics and etymology I soon learned to mix that with my attraction to rhyming and Hip Hop music. I started really writing in 2002 even though I've been rhyming in my mind since a kid. I feel I've somewhat evolved in the last 4 years and I plan to take this to the next level. I consider myself an "activist to-be" though many already see me as one. I have a love for my people, the people, all people! I'm angered & saddened by the new world order, world politics, bigotry, corporate manipulation, the media, materialism, and the current human state. Since the earliest stages of sin there's been an escalation in greed, malice, corruption, egoism, and terror and it's only getting worse. I feel I play an important role in this world in gettin out the word of hope, truth, and possitivity to all who are willin to listen. I'm just another grain of sand in this beach called earth, I'm just another vocal chord striking the profound sounds of truth in the form of Hip Hop. Just hope there's somebody on the other side of the speaker listening and absorbing.
MAY GOD BLESS ALL WHO VISIT MY MYSPACE PAGE.
