OKC INFOSHOP, an Oklahoma City based collective.

If you want to book your band, please email [email protected] ! We don't check the myspace on a regular basis. Thanks!

Note on booking: If your band wants a guarantee or is on a major label, don't bother! We are a D.I.Y. space for D.I.Y. bands!

The Oklahoma City Infoshop is a collective actively striving to create a safe space advocating the ideas of autonomy, mutual aid, co-operation, and egalitarianism.

All decisions are consensus-based with non-hierarchical principles that recognize the importance of individual initiative and collective action.

These principles reject this society's confining dominant values of greed, domination, competition, oppression, and the exploitation of humans and our natural world. Our hunger for liberation from these confines is the momentum of our struggle.

We aim to cultivate creativity, passion, information sharing, experience, and acceptance as autonomous individuals working together to fulfill a shared vision of a sustainable community, while responding to the ever-changing needs of the individuals and the collective.

Myspace is a powerful tool, but it's also owned by News Corporation and we try to limit our use of it. Correspondence should be directed through email, and you can check out our website for updates, at http://www.okcinfoshop.org/ .

Free Wheels Bike Recyclery

Free Wheels is an all volunteer, community bicycle program currently housed at the Oklahoma City Infoshop. Our mission is to provide bicycles and bicycle related resources to the greater community at little or no cost to the individual. We are striving to promote bicycling as a vehicle to reduce dependency on fossil fuels. We also aim to actively demonstrate that bicycling is a viable and respectable form of transportation. All decisions are consensus based.

Hours of operation: Wednesday 3-9pm
Saturday 12-6pm

If you are interested in helping with the bike collective, or would like to donate bikes, bike parts, bike tools, or funds to this project, please contact us at [email protected] . Thanks!

Prairie Dog Lending Library

The lending library is growing and improving all the time. In the near future we'll have free internet available as well as a phone. To become a member we ask for a 5$ donation, or a donation of two good books or any other form of media (zines, dvd, etc.). Membership is for life. And all donations are always welcome. Though we have an incredible selection of books and a greatly improving space in general what's needed are more interested folks to volunteer a 3 hour shift once in a while. Contact us if you are interested. Knowledge is power!

Hours of operation:

    Wednesday 3-9
    Saturday 12-6pm
    Sunday 12-6pm

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in developing a thriving, radical community of loving friendships and mutual aid and support. Anyone critical of oppressive institutions effecting us all: cops, governments, academia, capitalism, etc. And fun kids too!
