John the Baptist's Bio:
John the Baptist was raised in New Haven, Connecticut. At the tender age of 7, he gave his heart to the Lord, and received the Holy Spirit at age 9. Growing up he excelled in academics and athletics, especially basketball. But in his mid to late teens he struggled with his relationship with God and strayed away getting involved with alcohol, marijuana, partying and promiscuity. After many trials and tribulations and seeing his life headed in the wrong direction, he got serious with his relationship with God in late 1999. Shortly after getting serious with God, he stumbled onto the gift of music, and began making beats in November 1999.He has fallen many times since then, but by the grace of God has always managed to get back up again. From the beginning, John has always relied on the leading of the Holy Spirit when constructing a beat. His musical influences include Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre, The Alchemist, Just Blaze, Havoc, RZA, Curtis Mayfield, Barry White, Isaac Hayes and soul classics from the late 60’s and early 70’s. His eyes have seen many things growing up in New Haven and he has always had a heart for people. The aim for his music is to effectively reach out and minister to lost souls, edify the body of Christ, and always give God the glory!
