Ending all the frustrations! 47 year old medical professional, father of 4 and veteran MLM leader is getting it right...for everyone. Rescued by a 29 year old kid and some dude in an
Aston Martin!
I was really reluctant to put myself
and my business up on MySpace
but I learned something
(don’t believe that old dog/new
tricks line every time!)
After a long, successful career in nursing and in marketing I wanted to accelerate things and give myself a chance to change careers – give myself new options and well, basically create a better financial future. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a dedicated and hard worker but I’ve gotten really tired of being told when and where to be to earn an income.
I’m taking my experience and expertise and coupled them with other like-minded people and really started to change things. I’ll get to all that in a minute but first let me tell you a little about me…
I’m from Nashville, Tennessee and live just south of town now in Franklin (...where all the "Big Hats" live!). I got a better than average high school education that I didn’t recognize and appreciate until years after I graduated. Castle Heights Military Academy was a really different place! My folks divorced when I was in my teens and getting through school was a struggle for me and my Dad. My sisters and I had some great experiences though, living on a lake before everyone started building homes there, sailplane rides at a small private airfield that seemed like a million miles away. That later turned into a compulsive desire to learn to fly planes with NO MOTORS! What a rush!
After high school, without any direction I started selling cameras at a pretty high-end store in a ritzy part of town. I became infatuated with photography and still love it. I was fortunate to meet some really famous people there like Chet Atkins and John Denver as well as governors and other local celebrities. In the same fashion that Dad orchestrated the military school, he conceived a way to get me to Seminole, Oklahoma for an oil well drilling school. During that time I got married to Ginger and we had our first child…and still no career path. The oil industry shut down in the US while I was getting the degree so there were no jobs. Ok, so we headed back to Nashville.
After a few years loading trucks, making deliveries and running a warehouse for a printing company I went into nursing. To be honest at the time it was purely for financial reasons. The ‘caring about people’ part came later. I went straight into surgical intensive care and loved it. I moved into medical/surgical ICU and then to being one of the lead nurses in Cardiac ICU, which is where I stayed for over 9 of my 16+ years to date. It’s been an exciting ride to say the least. The joys and sorrows of seeing people at their best and worst is pretty intense to put it mildly. I’ve been fortunate and honored during that time to take care of some pretty high profile people. Unfortunately, this is an area where I can’t share who but, believe me, you’d know ‘em! In February 2007 I started looking into a new position at the hospital and by April I became the lead nurse on the new Rapid Response Team . It’s a position that I’ve unknowingly worked toward for 16 years and it’s a welcome relief. I and the team I work with are the troubleshooters for 4 hospitals, 24/7. The expectations are high and I love it!
In April 2005 I lost my Dad. That was devastating for me and my two sisters. He had done so much for us. What an incredible guy! At one point my nephew was really becoming an unruly challenge for my sister and he stepped in with the "Come to Jesus" confrontation that he needed. Now my nephew is my hero! A proud veteran of two tours in Iraq and a very successful Marine recruiter in east Tennessee..and a newlywed to boot!
Our four kids are all on different pages! My oldest is married and about to buy her first house. We're all excited for them and I'm sure we'll get the phone call to help with the move. The others are struggling through college classes and the challenging years of high school. Every one of them has a unique personality and they all seem to get along very well. We're ready for them to move on though...I'm not sure there is going to be much 'empty nest' syndrome here! LOL
My wife and I love to travel. The beach is a favorite place at this point in time. Florida (just about anywhere is fine but Destin is a favorite), historic towns like Savannah, Georgia and neat new places like San Diego. Two things on the agenda now are a California wine country tour and a Mediterranean cruise. We missed that for our 25th anniversary. I’m a giver too. I love to do special things for people either knowingly or secretly and I never seem to do it cheap. I want to do that even more. Not just take pictures at the high school reunion and post them on the web but to print them out, put them in a nice album and mail a copy to everyone that was there. I love doing stuff like that!
My business career has been a journey to say the least.
I started out with no skills that would attract anyone to me...even attracting people to help was a challenge. I took matters into my own hands and did all the things I was taught in our industry, network marketing, and then started doing things that no one would do. To be honest, I've never heard anyone else do it successfully either. I've taken what I've learned and coupled it with the new Web2.0 technology and philosophy and things are changing! It might be a interesting for you to look into my journey a little deeper via my videos. There's something in this industry called "sponsor shopping" and I've gone places that few have gone. It would be interesting to discuss. I've gotten the chance to share ideas and compare notes with some fantastic people. Even greater things are coming too!
If you're at a crossroads in your business career and looking for a SYSTEM that can work for your business OR you're looking for a team to partner up with then let's get together. Look for and subscribe to my videos, watch for my bulletins, subscribe to my blogs. Everything I'm sharing here is free. Hey, there ain't nobody here but us! Maybe we can talk live like I have with so many great folks here.
I wish you all the best!
Take care,
Jeff
