About Me

I am currently pursuing my dream of being a lifelong student. Technically, I am working towards becoming a professor or a teacher, but the best teachers are those that never stop learning. Regardless, my plan is have a career of reading, thinking, and discussing. So far, all I've gotten for it is a bunch of debt, but hopefully someday someone will pay me to do what it is I do.
Right now (well, not this minute, but this year) I am working on a Master's in Literature at NC State. I intend to go straight on to a Phd program somewhere, so this fall is going to be very busy with preparing research to write a thesis and the absolute joy that is the application process. I'm a theory nerd, which means I use words like alterity, metanarrative, ontological, phallologcentrism, teleological, heteronormative, and logocentric. But I'm realistic; I know most people don't care to discuss such esoteric topics. I am also perfectly capable of just relaxing over beers and run-of-the-mill conversations about music, movies, and politics.
