About Me

Hey what's up? I'm Obed. I'm one of the primary members of our new rock band: Eternal Remedy (www.myspace.com/1eternalremedy). As you can see by the pictures, I love martial arts (Shaolin Kung-Fu and Chinese Wushu [sigh, oh yeah] =D) and gymnastics. Because of this, I am also a freelance stunt man... And loving it!!! But given that we have a band, you can maybe sorta kinda tell I like music too a little, no?. Anyway, I'm ever grateful to my Creator for giving me a body capable of performing all these things. At this point in time I just work, train, live, learn and do my best to help someone in need. I've been a clown at Wannado City lately (Mr. Pants' be me name) and of course, I like to back-flip and 540º-twist in my clown outfit... it be fun by the lots =)! As for me, I'm outgoing with everyone I meet and people tend to say I'm "too nice..." And I don't mind having that label really. But since I don't discriminate against anyone, people tend to get too comfortable around me (sometimes to the point where they just slap me for no good reason... especially kids that hang from my legs the minute they spot me) but oh well, no big deal... unless it hurts. However, be aware of this: As a person who's true goal in life is to be in Heaven when the time comes, I will work my hardest to not take part in the filth of the world. To do this, I follow the steps of the one and only person ever to be perfect in history; Jesus, the Christ and Son of God Himself. So be aware that even though I like to have fun, and I love to mess around and joke about stuff, I like to keep things clean. So, as long as it's something that can be said around a kid then it should be fine... after all, Jesus once said: "...Allow the little children, and don't forbid them to come to me; for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven." Matt. 19:14. Feel free to message me for whatever reason. And uh let's see... I hope I'm not missing anything......... except maybe...... Oh yeah! I like bananas (Yeah, I'm pretty random at times). OH!! Also, I forgot to mention that I'm a hired assassin on weekends. But not your everyday hired assassin! As a matter of fact, I'm a ninja. So if you, by happenstance are able to spot me, it'll be too late... Like there's-a-tranquilizer-dart-stuck-to-your-neck-slowly-knocki ng-you-out-of-your-senses late. Other than that, I'm a nice guy :).

My Interests

In random order: Wushu/Kung-Fu, Music (listening and playing), movies, videogames & anime (DBZ RULES!! Oh and cartoons even), learning and discussing humanity's purpose-- where it came from and were it's headed (especially through a biblical perspective [you can't argue with the truth]). And all things God.

I'd like to meet:

"Hey guys! That link right -----there leads to our newly formed rock band; Eternal Remedy. Check it out and tell us what you think!"

Music:

Currently, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red, This Beautiful Republic, Seventh Day Slumber, 12 Stones, Hawk Nelson, Skillet (Comatose, Collide), Pillar, plus a few other Christian rock bands. Stuff like Rap, Hip-Hop, and a few latino rhythms like Salsa and Merengue I can get to listen for a while but never as long as rock. And Reggaeton... eh... I don't really consider that music. Apart from that, I like pretty much everything.

Movies:

Um... honestly... I haven't been much of a movie person lately. I guess to summarize my general taste in movies just give me a good story, decent development, meaningful climax, and a cool ending to make the experience leave a lasting and good impression. Overall, I need substance and depth. And if you throw in some comedy, action, suspense, and unexpected situations, you have the best ingredients for a movie. Oh, and it better be of high quality too! If it's a movie like the new King Kong (which had TONS of financial backup and yet it was utter garbage) then count me out. If it's low-budget and yet wisely used then I'm in. Simple. Also, I enjoy watching kung-fu movies (you never would've guessed) but like I said, my taste-range in movies is broad. My favorite movies at the moment are The Gospel of John, Jet Li's Fearless, Final Fantasy IIV: Advent Children and of course... Transformers. All absolutely stunning.

Television:

Mostly Anime. And of course... Cartoon Network and Nick (only because of the old Spongebob episodes).

Books:

The Bible.

Heroes:

Jesus.Bar none the greatest hero of all time.Nobody in history has shown more control and/or power over one's own will as He did. He kept His Father God's goal constantly in focus and never let what anyone else said affect Him in the least. He died to wash any and all sin away with the same focus for our sake. And the result? Now we have a shot at going to heaven. There's no better reward than that. But what He had to go through in order to grant us that priviledge was horrific. And the pressure was immeasurable. Yet, He never gave in. Now THAT'S a hero. Unmovable... like a mountain.

True Control. True Power. (An interesting thought)

What is TRUE control? What is TRUE power? Look at yourself... Look at your abilities, your convictions, your ambitions, your ideals, your goals... Do you have FULL control or FULL power over these thi...
