Hailing from Ann Arbor, MI, Heroes On Parade is a six-piece band looking to combine the best elements of their favorite genres of music: Pop, Post-Hardcore, Alternative, Indie and Rock. Their music is characterized by a heavy and driving, yet fluid rhythm section (comprised of Mike on bass, Max on guitar and Ben on drums), soaring keyboards (Joe), blistering guitar solos (Jules), and beautifully controlled vocals (Jenny). From one song to the next these musicians tread through realms of classical piano, ‘80’s metal intensity, modern pop melodies and nearly everything in-between. They are a truly progressive group and are highly recommended if you are a fan of: Paramore, The Fall Of Troy, Underoath, Cinematic Sunrise, VersaEmerge and/or talent, musicianship and great live shows!
Heroes On Parade’s current line up was founded in August of 2008 when founding members Mike and Max found Jenny Ondreyka’s YouTube page and asked her to join the band based on the immense quality of the cover-songs she posted (it was a sheer coincidence that she lived in Ann Arbor as well as they). She agreed and, along with other early members Jules and Joe, they got to work writing and performing, setting their sights on recording a CD. Their hard work caught the ears of Jenny’s talented drummer of a brother, Ben, and he soon joined the band, allowing Mike to finally move up front on Bass. In February of 2009 they went to Minx Studio and recorded their debut CD that is currently being readied for release. With some great opportunities lined up for the coming months, HOP are finally ready to make their name known.
