Music:
80's/90's grunge such as Alice in Chains, SoundGarden, Pearl Jam (hey don't laugh), & STP. More current bands like the Chili Peppers, 311, Sublime, System of a Down...although "Hypnotize" seemed more down than usual. In the realm of Electronic, I enjoy Brian Eno and other orig. ambient like the Orb -- am a fan of www.somafm.com station "Groove Salad" very good selections. Have a vast collection of BBC Radio1 Essential Mixes and Global Underground sets from early 90's foward to create a good party atmosphere when needed. Classic rock like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, The Band, Cream, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the Doors. Sometime I can even enjoy some Crosby Stills & Nash and then suddenly I snap out the whole 60's thing and think "What the fuck! This shit was being played years before I was born! I've got to stay loyal to my own musical eras or risk further banter of being old fashion". After such an realization I often will reidentify with artists from early childhood Duran Duran, (early) Depeche Mode, and Tears for Fears restoring my place in the Universe. I forgot to mention I enjoy some 70's/80's Brit Punk. By the way, this whole recycling of the New Wave rock genre into some sort of Nu-New Wave is complete horseshit and leaves anyone with a listening background yearning for the original sound that had more musical creativity and variation. Blah Bleh Morrissey was better hehehe arg zzz. 'Nuff said.
Movies:
Anything directed by Terry Gilliam except Brothers Grimm (not wierd enough). Blade Runner, Easy Rider, Fight Club, High Fidelity, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and most Bill Murray flicks... Also any documentary that uncovers government deception kinda keeps me interested...
