I grew up in southern California,By the age of seven, I was playing hand drums my father had made for me. My father and grandfather were both musicians. My grandfather bought his first guitar in 1920. I grew up to the sound of band rehearsals from my father band. I joined my first rock band in high school, playing for school dances in the Vacaville area. I married in 1976 and put the music on hold to start a new family. My wife passed away in 1995 and I stayed busy raising two teenage boys. By 1996, I was back on congas, playing in local bars jamming. Since 1996, I have played with several local bands including CRB, Alvon and the Allstars, The Twanna Turner Band,The Hidden City Band, Matty T Band, Mo Better Blues, and the band The Usual Suspect. I remarried in 1999. (What a hell of a wedding that was!) My wife Linda is my biggest fan. To quote Jerry Garcia, "What a long strange trip it's been"...
