Nera starts playing on 2000. Black metal songs combined with lyrics perfectly fitting with such an extreme music are self-produced by this Italian band. The most influences are black/death masters at all.The first line-up featured Igor (vocals), Luca (drums), Matteo (keyboards) and Andrea (guitar), and some session men on the bass guitar. The original name of the band was “Tregenda”.“Nera”, the name since 2004, means “black”, which states the main band message about the Universe view.Nera features Igor and Luca (the only founder members), as well as Dave (guitar), Skopa (keyboards) and Andrea (bass guitar).The “Nera-sound” is mainly marked out by a constant search for different moods, where violence and symphonic structures melt and combine together in etheral sound. Lyrics are embracing apocalyptic visions and a-physic phenomena.On 2003 Nera records the first self-produced EP, engineered by Pier Gonella (Labyrinth, Necrodeath) at Tsunami Studios in Rapallo (Genoa). The EP includes: “Wicked Insomnia”, “Monaing From Below”, “Astronomica” and “Mourning Palace” (originally written by Dimmu Borgir).Nera then starts playing live shows, and on January 2005 the band takes the opportunity to be the opening act of the mighty Necrodeath band.The black metal combo has recorded the second self-produced EP on 2007, once again under Pier Gonella engineering..."The Dark Side of Infinite Sea".Since March 2008, Nera has joined the new Bass player Fabri, as further dark influence inspiration for the future Nera productions!Enjoy...BLACK SOULS!
