DJ Havoc born and raised in a large town in the suburban part of Philadelphia
called "Abington". DJ Havoc spent his childhood sitting in his bed room
practicing on a set of technic 1200's. On the weekends his bedroom turned into a
nightclub/studio where tons of friends came to hang out and record freestyles
over samples. This is where he earned the name "Havoc" by always causing havoc
between his older sister Robin. Speakers lined his room and loud vibrations
always kept his sister and mother yelling up "turn it down".
If DJ Havoc wasn’t spinning or recording with friends he was Airbrushing
graffiti for friends on shoes, pants and even shirts. Art was always a love for
DJ Havoc and if he wasn’t airbrushing for friends he was airbrushing his walls.
Growing up DJ Havoc always volunteer to dj friends house parties all over
Abington. Havoc never thought of making a career for his love of music but soon
after graduating high school he sold his record collection and turntables to
help pay for his low-rider truck he was building. Like anything in life we grow
older and lose interest in things we love but the feeling of turntables under
his hands wouldn’t leave his head.
DJ Havoc than met his soul mate at the age of 21. The constant talk of his past
love for djing sparked new fuel. With the support of his wife "Lyn" he sought
out new equipment were a good friend from New York introduced him to another DJ
"Louie". Louie had the deal of a life time for 2 technic 1200's that Havoc could
not resist. After the long ride back to Philly the first stop for DJ Havoc was
Market Street in Philadelphia. One of the best places in Philly to find rare and
new records.
Only a couple months of picking back up his love for music, Havoc signed with a
entertainment company dj'ing local bars around Montgomery and Bucks county.
Havoc loved rocking the dance floor and sought after more locations to rock out.
This is where Havoc bumped into another DJ who ran his own company called High
Impact. It didn’t take long for DJ Joe Broscoe to see the potential in DJ Havoc
and signed him. From 2008 to 2009 DJ Havoc had
teamed up with a manager of 2 nightclubs in Philadelphia to DJ their college
parties. Havoc has spun many college sorority parties from University of
Delaware, University of Penn, Villanova,Temple and Philly University on a weekly
basis.
DJ Havoc has a very large diverse music selection to meet the needs of the feet
on the dance floor. Ranging from TOP40, Dance, Reggae, House, Electro,Baltimore
Club, and high energy Remixes. His unique style and music selection had landed
him many gigs at clubs in the Philadelphia area such as LevelRoom, Glam, The
Woodbine, XO Nightclub, déjà vu, 15North Nightclub,Derek's, Alfies, Buckets, The
Roxxy, Urban Saloon, Fiso Nightclub, and JL Sullivan's.
