About Me

I was born in Ravenden,Arkansas in 1935.I have loved Country Music all my life. I lived in Memphis,Tennessee and was Master of Ceremonies for the Mid-South Jamboree there for several years. I have appeared with George Jones,Merle Haggard,Roy Drusky,Jimmy Newman,Stringbean,Loretta Lynn,Charlie Louvin,Connie Smith,Wynn Stewart, and many others around the country.I appeared on the Grand Ole Opery in June 1967.Had my own country music tv show on KAIT in Jonesboro,Arkansas in 1968.Appeared on the Country Junction Show, now call The Gene Williams Show,in 1968.Capital Records signed me in 1968.Appeared on the Country Crossroads and the Wynn Stewart Show in July 1970. Had several singles, but never had a 1. Some of my songs on Capital were"What Charlie Don't Know",If Love Was Money","Carters Hill",and "Hippie From The Hills". "Don't Call Me,I'll Call You" is on a new album called"Memphis Rockabillies,Hillbillies, and Honky Tonkers Vol.5" that was released June 27,2006.I toured all over the U.S. including Alaska. Thing just didn't work out,so I moved back home, near Black Rock,Arkansas, and retired from the Arkansas Highway Dept. several years ago. I have produced a cd entitled,"Roland Eaton,My Greatest Songs",if your interested email me at [email protected]. I just couldn't let these song die. Because of my health,I'm unable perform anymore, but my friends and I still get together and Jamm!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE A DREAM GO FOR IT!!!!
