My Autobiography
"Shiver in the Night"
Book Description: He rocketed to the top of the rock scene with his song, 'Avenging Annie', enjoyed stardom for the next four years, and ended it with an outdoor concert. Music icon-rock star of the 1970s, musician-author Andy Pratt bares his heart and soul with candor and honesty in this autobiography, Shiver in the Night. Accompany him in this nostalgic journey, as he reminisces the fame, celebrities, music, family, romance, cruelty, betrayal, and Jesus. He takes readers to memory lane --- during his formative years, youthful folly, music career, and pursuit to get back on track. Truly a primer in mental-physical-emotional survival, this book is can be purchased through the Xlibris website www.xlibris.com. Among the famous names appearing in this book are: Andy Warhol, John Belushi, Miles Davis, Tony Levin, Steve Gadd, the Band, Foreigner, David Gates, Bela Bartok, and Bono (of the band U2).

You can check out the trailer for the film Dammit Dixie Dan, now (and forever?) in production and featuring Andy Pratt, me, as narrator. That's me pointing my finger at you in the last scene. Chris Finch, who wrote and directed DDD, is writing, filming, and networking as always. The movie trailer is at: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=679140
I recently played Doc the Grave Robber in the Acting Out Theatre Company of Lawrence (Mass)'s production of The Adventures of Mark Twain. It was fun.
I was a Judge at "New Hampshire Idol 2007" WLNH 98.3 FM Radio put it on. There were lots of attractive women present and some good singers. A very good singer from Concord, NH, named Brian Waldron, won.
Long-beloved Boston rock writer Bret Milano recently released a book entitled "The Sound of Our Town - a history of Boston Rock." It has the one and only Willie "Loco" Alexander on the cover, and is a good read for people interested in Boston Rock, which also includes several international artists - me, the Cars, Boston, J. Geils, etc. Brett only gave me three sentences in the book and in them gets the facts wrong. In fact I was originally signed to Columia by Clive Davis with the help of John Nagy and Nat Weiss. It's nice to be mentioned. Thanks Brett!
Speaking of mention, you can read a review in Rolling Stone Magazine written by Stephen Holden on my 1976 album "Resolution" at:
http://andyprattmusic.tripod.com/stories.htm
By the way Stephen Holden is doing quite well these days as a movie critic for the New York Times. We did a book release party for Brett's book at the Middle East in Cambridge Mass, organized by Asa Brebner, and a lot of old Boston Rock royalty showed up, including David Minnehan (of The Neighborhoods), Robin Lane and the Chartbusters, Mickey Clean, Willie, Lizzie Borden, and many others I neglect to mention here forgive me. It was a special night for us. Thanks to Billy Loosigian and friends for making me sound good.
I as usual am waiting for other people. I would love to play gigs, mine or as a sideman, produce, play, and sing in the studio for anyone who is interested. I've still got the "sound" and I've worked with some of the best. Price is negotiable for such things... please contact me to make arrangements here:

In addition to my "I'm All Right" album, my 1980's compilation, "Age of Goodbye", done with Stephen Hague and Leroy Radcliffe and an all-star cast of musicians is available at http://andyprattmusic.tripod.com/store.htm
Enjoy! BLESSINGS TO ALL!!!!
