I grew up on the South Coast and after moving to London, I went to live in New Zealand for a couple of years, and travelled extensively, through America, Africa and Asia.
Apart from being potty about animals, I have been in love with singing from a child. Always listening to my parents playing the piano, but especially my mother's fondness for Jazz music. I started singing Jazz and cabaret style songs in 1998 and then started doing gigs around 2005. I have been lucky to have some amazing teachers, including: Anton Browne, Laura Zakian, Mark Meylan, Trudy Kerr, Emer McParland. I also enjoyed being taught by Pete Churchill at the London Guildhall Summer school.
I have recently released a CD, Hey There!, on Molly Music - being distributed by Discovery Records. This was recorded at Derek Nash's Clown's Pocket Studios. As well as Derek recording and mastering, he also played on various tracks, along with Robert Rickenberg on bass, Kenrick Rowe on drums and Chris Lee on piano and arrangements. I sneaked in a cheeky little ' Son of a Preacherman' (for no reason other than I always wanted to record that song!) and Anton Browne played guitars on the track.
My CD is available to buy at www.amazon.co.uk; www.hmv.com, www.discovery-records.com, itunes etc and from myself!
