M.O.R.S.

Fundamentally music is the expression of emotion, namely the struggle, rejoice and suffering of a people. With capitalism and big business becoming a predominant influence on hip-hop culture, a decrease in the presence of these fundamentals has occurred in the hip-hop culture. Part of a movement to preserve the integrity and honesty of the culture, M.O.R.S. expresses honest emotion coupled with social consciousness in his words. Born to Guatemalan immigrants in the cauldron of diversity and tension that is Los Angeles, M.O.R.S. has and continues to be instilled with an immense appreciation for life and an unwavering desire to speak out in the promotion of positivity while staying true to the art of MCing. Introduced to the hip-hop culture through graffiti in 1993, M.O.R.S. soon realized he was drawn to the realm of the MC, a realm where emotion is channeled through words. This in spite of an inherent shyness which he labored to overcome. His desire to express himself lyrically cannot be held back. Drawing from life experience and current events affecting us all, M.O.R.S. is moving to establish himself as an influential voice of the people within the hip-hop community.
