REST IN PEACE JOSH AND KNOW THAT YOU WERE LOVED BY MANY!YUCCA VALLEY — A Yucca Valley man was killed early Thursday morning when his car rolled over off Joshua Lane, said Sgt. Rick Collins of the county sheriff’s department.Joshua Weeks, 23, was discovered dead in the dirt field west of Joshua Lane and north of Golden Bee Drive by Deputy L. Niles. According to Niles’ accident report, the victim’s 2004 Nissan Maxima left the roadway and overturned. Weeks was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of his car.“A patrol officer happened on the scene at 12:51 a.m. and found the driver ejected from the vehicle and deceased,†Collins said.Collins said he did not know how long after the collision Weeks was discovered. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.Weeks’ grieving family is struggling to deal with his sudden death, said his grandmother, Christina O’Conner. She said her grandson was engaged to be married, happy and doing well.“He worked at Phelps Chevrolet and he loved his job,†she said sadly.Services for Weeks will be held in Cypress, where the family lived for many years.

Two valley residents died and another was seriously injured after a car crash yesterday around 2:15 p.m. on Whitewater Canyon, about three miles north of Interstate 10.Desert Hot Springs residents Jordan Fiorda, 23, and Kristin Michelle Robinson, 24, were killed when their 2001 Suzuki SUV lost control.Robinson died at the scene and Fiorda, who was driving, succumbed to her injuries at Desert Regional Medical Center.The SUV, which was traveling at a high rate of speed, hit a dirt embankment and rolled several times, according to the California Highway Patrol.Passenger Bryant E. Pau Corral, 22, of Coachella who sustained major injuries.All three occupants unrestrained and ejected from the vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
