*****Sign 4 Fun American Sign Language Classes*****All County Interpreting Services for the Deaf, Ltd. presents it's next session of ASL classes by Sign 4 Fun. We are registering now through September. Classes begin in October, 2008.Our main focus is our Mommy/Daddy & Me sign language program. We are also (due to popular demand) offering programs for school-aged children and adults, as well. Our program teaches basic ASL vocabulary and conversational skills. We are NOT an interpreter training program. Our classes are for fun (hence the name, Sign 4 Fun), and to help assist the hearing population in learning this beautiful and beneficial language, which is the 3rd most used language in the United States!The many benefits of teaching Infants and toddlers ASL are:1. Reduces frustration by allowing preverbal infants to communicate sooner 2. Helps signing infants to talk sooner – it does not delay speech! 3. Reinforces verbal language by adding visual emphasis to auditory input 4. Increases interest in books/reading 5. Children who sign tend to have a larger vocabulary 6. Increases parent-child bonding 7. Enhances self-esteem 8. Improves emotional development 9. Builds greater brain function 10. Children who sign have an IQ as much as 10-12 points higher 11.
