About Me
BUILDING A TEXAS MUSIC AND HISTORY TOWN....Hunter Texas Expansion Project; Hunter Land And Cattle Company has aquired 60 acres of old Mesquite and Live oak covered ranchland only 30 minutes from downtown Austin and San Antonio, dead centered to the mile, 2 exits from New Braunfels and the Guadalupe river and only one exit from the San Marcos Outlet Malls and new convention center. Every little old town between Austin and San Antonio has erupted with developement in the past few years except one. Located only 6 miles straight out of the front door of Gruene Hall, the oldest dancehall in Texas 1872, between Hunter Road and the historic EL CAMINO REAL, lies the ghost town of Hunter and the oldest (liscensed) bar in Texas, Riley's Tavern 1933. This is also where the OSR meets the Balcones Uplift, better known as "The Hill Country". This, according to the oldest road in Texas, OSR / El Camino Real 1600s, would be the original Gateway to The Hill Country. I have planned more than two miles of brick streets, Main street, Red Dirt Ridge blvd. , town square and 3 cross streets with century old building restrictions and historical buildings from around the state. I plan to preserve and reconstruct a complete town that will accurately represent authentic Texas architecture and history complete with all the shopping and expected hill country crafts and antiques, but also with sports and leisure activities geared more to entertaining the men folk as well while the kiddoes hop the shuttle to Schlitterbahn and the ladies run across to the Outlet Malls or Gruene. A number of businesses have committed to the project and are under limited phase 1 site prep. Some of those include The Texas Music Park, Hunter Land and Cattle Co. offices and auction barn, Hunter Gruene Golf & Grill, driving ranges and cantina, Songwriter's Sanctuary campground & rv park @ Applegate Springs, Hunter Fitness Center, Pale Horse Rodeo Co. arena with Chute Club steakhouse & dancehall over the buckin chutes. Also planned is a tractor museum, old mainstreet hotels with balconies over the street and 25 creekside restaurants overlooking the 20 acre Texas Music Park main stage and golf course. And if all that's too much for ya, just plop your hiney in a tube and float the creek through town from soda shops to underwater bars, outdoor venues, cantinas, dance halls, ice cream parlors and saloons where you will see dozens of live Texas Music artists daily. Imagine a Branson, but with the songwriting talent of the Texas and Red Dirt hands in a "Green" pre-planned perfect old town under thousands of century old Live Oak and Mesquite shade trees. I have one 10 acre tract on the corner of I35 and Farm Rd. 1102 and several lots that front 1102 and Red Dirt Ridge for sale and over 2,000,000 sq. ft. or 200 lots for lease throughout town and soon building space will be availible. yours truly, Cody Fields 361-354-0007 hunter.texas@yahoo Comments appreciated, Much obliged !
