Heaven

It seems we spend our childhood learning to wonder, "What do we want to be when we grow up"... So, we set out on our "Grand Adventure" setting up our goals and dreams... In my case, I got married and had children & often wondered was this it?? Have I grown up?? And somehow I still felt unfulfilled.. So I went to school and created a wonderful career for myself... and again wondered... Am I grown up now?? Somehow I still felt that there must be more to it.. So I set off on many adventures, and met lots of amazing people and from time to time thought about what it meant to be grown up... So many things happened along life's twisting trails.. Sometimes I soared in the clouds of my dreams other times I was slapped in the face with life's harsh realities..I awoke one day to a beautiful sunrise in The Taos Canyon and I asked myself again "Is this it?? Am I a grown up now?? What does all of "this" mean?" I believe at this point in my life I had felt like I had lost my ability to dream or create new goals.. I found myself feeling that life had left a such a foul taste in my mouth.. Bitterness to what was once such a "High Hope". At this time I still felt like that little girl in the playground just wishing for a friend to play with.. Someone who would like ME...We spend our whole lives looking for something that we had all along. When we were created we were PERFECT... Humanities world molded and carved us into these beings full of insecurities and unmet needs. Feeling like we must achieve something, leave some kind of mark on this earth... Each day is a new day to awaken and discover once again "Who We Are"... Some days we may like ourselves better than others. For the most part, I wake up everyday curious to discover what new adventure or creation will be set out for me to enjoy this day... That little girl in the playground learned that the friend she was always looking for was here all along.. right here inside myself.. The real question is who do I want to share her with today.LOVING OURSELVES is the key here.. You don't have to be a Lawyer, Politician, Engineer, Dr, Nurse, Scientist. Or any other label that you choose to call yourself to be someone... YOU WERE BORN SOMEONE, A very special being with many different facets, intricate in its complexities and free in its simplicities. Today I AM ME, all of me, everything from the past and on into the future. I AM ME, a PERFECT Creation in God's eyes, which is the way that I choose to look at myself, for if I were to look through my own clouded vision or the tainted spectacles of someone who doesn't really know me… I may see many different people.. Some I like, some I don't.. But if I look through my creator's eyes, I see a beautiful creation of perfection… For nothing that is created by God is imperfect. Everything has its purpose in life to create balance and achieve enlightenment. It is not for us to strive for any material goal, or to be "something" in life.. Because we have been what we were meant to be since the day we arrived!! The rest is to enjoy, to feel, to inspire and to bask in the glory of God's Creation!! I am an adventurous spirit in love with life!!!
