Mr.King was there doing a book signing folllowing a brief stint teaching a film - making course at the University of Texas @ Austin using "Children of the Corn " as the template. A lady in front of us had the following conversation with him: Lady: " Mr King - your books frighten me so badly that when I get out of bed to turn off the lights....I have to run and jump back into my bed so that what is ever under there will not get me !
