About Me

I love to laugh and spend time with friends. I love the smell of old books and standing out in the rain. I love stargazing, and of course, I love music. I love a lot of things in life, and I'm extremely happy with that.

My Interests

Music, Flute, Mozart, Animé (Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, & Naruto), Movies, but mostly I like hanging out and relaxing when I have the chance. Generally speaking, I'm more likely to be found at home or a friend's house snuggled on a couch watching movies. A good concert is also quite fun once in a while.

I'd like to meet:

Mozart, of course! (^_^)

Music:

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Mozart. Okay, so Mozart's a little out of place here, but when you take a music history topics course about him, you're bound to listen to everything he wrote since age 6. However, I am quite fond of the Requiem, especially the Introit, Kyrie and Lacrimosa, so much so that the love of my life gave me a recording of the Requiem as a Christmas gift...Did I mention I was a music major? lol.

Movies:

Amadeus, IQ, Moulin Rouge, Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Wedding Planner, Drumline, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Notebook, When Harry Met Sally, Armageddon, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Joy Luck Club, A Lot Like Love, Two Weeks Notice, & a million more too numerous to list...

Television:

I LOVE Law & Order SVU and Inuyasha. I'm also quite fond of House as of late.

Books:

The House at Pooh Corner, The Chronicles of Narnia (Hey, you're never too old for a classic), The Kitchen God's Wife, Till We have Faces, Behind the Red Mist, Fallen Leaves, & The Woman Warrior

Heroes:

Having a hero implies looking up to someone. Given that I'm quite short, that's a long list of people that includes nearly everyone I meet. Therefore, I choose to have no heroes and blaze my own path through life. (^_~)

My Blog

Home for the Holidays

Surprise, surprise, I've been in a much better mood since coming home.  Work sucks, but I think that's more of a reflection on retail in general than anything else, especially during the hoilday ...

I thought this was really funny!

I was going through a few things in my desk drawers, deciding what to keep, throw away, etc.  While doing that, I came across a birthday card Alex gave me for my 20th Birthday.  I thought ab...

Finals Week...

Well, I'm halfway through finals week, and I'm surviving it okay.  I bombed the listening portion of the Mozart exam, but from what I'm hearing, so did a lot of other people.  I did okay wit...

Same topic as the last three posts...

A week later, and I've finally started to calm down.  I'm still upset about what happened, but I'm not nearly as angry and bitter as I was.  Of course, I say that while fighting with a bit o...

Frustrated

Now that I've had a few days to digest this weekend's events, I've calmed down a little.  I am still, however, very pissed that such a thing can even happen in the first place.  Currently, I...

Blah. Just Blah...

I'm still vehemently angry about this weekend's little letter.  I mean, you just can't treat people that way.  It's unethical, it's immoral, it's just plain wrong on so many levels.  Pl...

Beware of Little Girls with Irish Tempers

Up until I received a certain letter, I was having a fabulous weekend.  I managed to get a decent amount of work done on my flow chart for conducting.  I even worked my way through a ro...

Thanksgiving in Summary

I feel pretty good coming off of break.  I got to sleep, hang around the house, veg out in front of the television, and even did a little shopping.  Yesterday, I saw Che, and that was great,...

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break has been good to me this year. No real major homework that has to be done right this very second. Nothing terribly pressing for lessons. In fact, I just picked up my flute today for...

The End of Recital Madness

My recital was Sunday, and it was absolutely fabulous.  There were a few glitches behind the scenes, but I handled it.  Everything turned out beautifully, and everyone who came was quite ple...
