Two guitars power the driving backbone of CATJAW's energetic sound while keyboards and fervent vocals illuminate the songs’ melodic core. The inspiration behind CATJAW's dirty euphonic anthems is an eccentric combination of Michael Jackson battling Fugazi with punches from The Cure.
CATJAW's first EP was recorded at The Seaside Lounge Recording Studios in Park Slope (New Pornographers, The Occasion, Neko Case, Takka Takka, Stars Like Fleas). It's now in post-production and we're cooking up six savory tunes for y'all. Looks like we'll release it sometime in the spring of 2009.
