Our Generation has had no Great war, no Great Depression. Our war is spiritual. Our depression is our lives.
O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
Ah Music's a big part of my life. I listen to so many different styles, but among my favorites are Rob Zombie, Flaw, Red Hot Chili Peppers (Flea's the man!), Evanescence (I'm gonna marry Amy Lee!), Powerman 5000, (Spider for President!!), Metallica, Primus/Les Claypool (best bassist ever!), KHz, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Disturbed, Dos Gringos, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Flogging Molly, Tool, A Perfect Circle, and a few others I cant think of right now... but you get the drift.
As for movies, I've lately been into good Horror movies. But some of my all time favorites are Fight Club, 1408, Sin City, The Bourne trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Hero, Fearless, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Snatch, Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The Others, etc.
hmmm.. If i'm watching TV, It's usually the History channel or Discovery. But I also love the animated sitcoms like The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Futurama. And whatever else is entertaining at the time.
Anything written by Chuck Palahniuk is great! I also like horror novels.. Peter Straub, Stephen King, Clive Barker. I've also read through photography books since that's one of my hobbies.
