Formed in 2002, Cursed was at the forefront of the Nor Cal grind and gore scene having featured in its ranks former members of Infestation and Fetus By the Pound. The band played several several festivals over the years and supported such acts as Exhumed, Vital Remains, Cattle Decapitation and Deicide. But the band saw a revolving door situation in its ranks which took its toll on the songwriting and recording processes. Subsequently, Cursed's vision for the band's future and sound changed with the influx of new members.That leads us to now.In the Fall of 2009, core members of Paul "Aussie" Telling, Eric Tedder, and Roy Stanley were joined by former Immortality / Two(o)nine / Reduced to Ashes founder Jeff "El Jeffe" Brown and former Fatal Rage / Infestation / Immortality drummer Scotty Whitfield. This line-up has been in various projects with each other over the years and together solidifies one of the most battle tested line-ups in the Central California metal scene. Having supported the metal scenes best from one end of the extreme spectrum to the other, the members in this band have shredded the stage with death metal leaders like Cannibal Corpse, Malevolent Creation, Vader, Mayhem and Morbid Angel all the way to thrashers like Exodus, Nuclear Assault, Vio-Lence, and Testament. The band scrapped all previous material and has taken the approach that this new line-up is a separate entity under the Cursed banner. The band has returned to its roots, with its material leaning heavily on its influences......bands like Repulsion, Possessed, Death, and Pestilence.
