About Me

I want to manage your band.
I've got a sweet ride, and i've got good skills, so every woman wants me. It's hard being pretty like me, I seriously have a stick with me every time I go out to keep the ladies at bay. It's crazy hard. If you REALLY want to know about me, just read my lame blogs, they tell you what you need to hear i guess.

After graduating from McNally Smith College of Music, I have decided to embark in a career in Artist Management. My philosophy is that performing in a band can be and is a business and a career, and a very enriching way to make a living. However, art and commerce usually do not mix. Artists do not like to view their art and performance as a commodity and a service, so my job as an artist representitive is to allow artists to focus on the music and on building their live performance, while I can handle the mundane financial and legal administration and advise on all the other sometimes complicated aspects of the music industry. Helping them not only to "get signed" but to build a strong foundation upon wich to have a successful and long lived career. Avoiding the common and easily corrected mistakes that can quickly lead to financial ruin.
As an up and coming Personal Manager, I feel I am capable and qualified to advise an artist on things they might not fully understand, such as Performing Rights Organizations, Publishing deals, Copyright Licencing agreements, Contract Negotiations, Publicity, Radio and Promotion, Marketing, Merchandising deals, Sponsorships and Endorsements, Incorporating themselves to limit liability, and eventually negotiating a fair and promising Record Label Contract (if they choose that route, I am also a strong believer in the benefits and practicality of a wholly independent career). I believe that if I can help to guide an artist in these things, while they are free to develop themselves creatively, success will almost come naturally.
ABOUT ME: I am an inigma. I refused to be labeled. I refuse to subscribe fully to any dogma or doctrine. I will not conform any aspect of myself for social status. I dont mind being alone. The ocean is the only thing that scares me, but I swim and surf in it anyways. I am extremely introspective, but not at the expense of observing the people around me. I ask myself questions about life and morality and purpose that most people will never ask. I love to watch people, and try to understand what they're thinking.
I'd kill for any of those guys. STC is closer than blood.
Chuck Norris doesn't have shit on Charles Bronson. I commit random acts of artistic vandalism because no one understands it. I take my car to it's limits on public streets, because it's illegal... when it's not broken...
I have morals where others don't even bother to think about, and I break laws that others would never consider. I am very nice, except when my friends are threatened. I hate the pursuit of empty-sex my generation has deemed is "just the way it is." I would get violent to protect what I love.
I've always wanted to be in a riot. I dont know why.
There is just something about a moshpit...

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

Question Authority

I'd like to meet:

I want to network with as many music business types as possible. As well as meet random crazy interesting people. I'm down for whatever, and I'm pretty damn awesome, so let's hang out sometime. Add me as a friend, I dont care, the more the merrier, just send me a message sometime.

cjspencer777 is my AIM... I rarely use it though.

While I'm always down with meeting pretty ladies, I honestly love being single right now, so dont get your hopes up girls... unless you think your really that smooth...

I really doubt I'm hooking up with anyone on myspace, but your welcome to try me, lol... It makes my day... you girls are funny sometimes.

I'd like to meet Banksy:

Music:

I like a lot of stuff, I'm trying to be more open minded about music lately, but hardcore punk will always hold a very special place in my heart. I've made room for a lot of stuff as of late. Reggae, ambient/electronica, hip hop & rap, but I always find myself drifting back to hardcore.

Movies:

i love wierd indie movies, or movies that make you think... you know the kind, strange artsy movies. And Star Wars is love. Movies are all in all a good thing. I buy them at the pawn shop for 4 bucks a pop and watch way to many of them.

Television:

South Park is the crowning achievement of mankind.

Books:

My favorite music industry authors are Moses Avalon, Donald Passman, Jacob Slichter, and Daylle Deanna Schwartz. I try to read a lot, intellectualls are sexy. I read a shit ton of music Industry texts. My knowledge will destroy you.

Heroes:

STC, my lifeblood. My brothers in arms. Thank you for straightening my ass out before I became just another drunk/slut. The greatest way to judge a man's charicter is to see who he chooses to surround himself with. I've surrounded myself with the greatest kids alive. I don't know where I'd be without you guys. I would die for each and every one of you.

My Art Heroes:

Shepard Fairey.
