Hows it going? My name is Joe and I live and breathe for my beautiful fiance Lorena - I love you darling! When she hasn't got my undivided attention I have been known to dabble in the drum department.
Ive been attempting to lay my elusive groove for about 7 years now with the shameful ol' excuse of never getting around to practicing enough..... anyways, I take lessons from an unbelieveable drummer, Mr Paul Dean and currently play in two of Southends finest bands (if I do say so myself!), Red Nettle and Hollywood Actress.
The Nettle have been around since just about the dawn of time and after a series of drummer mishaps, and as a desperate last resort, they asked me to accompany them on various musical exploits. Influences include Tool, Mastodon, Dream Theatre and Helmet aswell as the early Southend Hardcore scene with bands such as Cynical Smile and Above All. If you like your rock beef large then you'll like us.
In Hollywood Actress we all share a mutual love of honest, energetic rock music and have been playing together since about 2004. We hold bands such as Mourning Widows, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Muse and Jimmy Eat World responsible for our sound. Our music is fast and fun with a good few hooks chucked in for good measure!
Both my bands are in my top friends so pop over and check 'em out. Ive got a few vids of some live stuff and some tunes on the player so have a watch and/or listen and let me know what you think.
