From Denim Label and DJ/producer Levi 5Star comes 'Another You.' A pure house gem with sweet vocal melodies and raw funk directions. Remixes include a summertime classic by: Hot Toddy (Crazy P), two intelligent tech mixes from Onionz, a peak time head splitter from Dirty D and Skankman and some old skool breaks from Cam Douglas.
Levi 5Star is best known for his hit on Soulfuric Records: 'Dancando' featuring his live band, La Fiesta Sound System. Levi was also part of the ETHERFOX team that brought you the club smash: 'The Whirled You Live' (Hussle 2003).
Levi 5star has made a name for himself with over ten years experience behind the decks and five years experience in the studio, bringing in elements such as funk, latin, tribal, disco, afro and soul.
“The main thing for me is that the music should be funky, and that it should be musical enough to be appreciated on and off the dance floor. If a record is good enough, I will play it, independent of genre.â€
Playing at respected clubs and bars throughout Australia including Tank, Bourbon, Equilibrium, Home, The Argyle, Roxy, Coogee Palace, Moulin Rouge, Family, Cargo, Fringe Bar and Establishment, and Supporting many acts and major parties Levi has played amongst some of the worlds finest including Ian Pooley (GER) Jazzy Jeff, SNAP, KLF, C+C Music Factory, Norman Jay (UK), Adam Freeland (UK), Fred Everything (Canada), Knee Deep ( GER), Hardsoul, Jon Sa Trinxa (Café del Mar), Stonebridge (UK), Smoking Jo (UK), Gotan Project (France), Steve ‘Sole’ Middleton (UK), Miss Jools (UK), Crystal Method (USA), Chris ‘ Swag’ Dukenfield (UK), Jason Bye, Endorphin and Mark Dynamix. Levi’s creative style and upbeat sets have set him apart.
With a full time production schedule in his own studio, Levi has collaborated with prodigy producer Justin Shave (Etherfox) to create international hits ‘The whirled you live’ by Etherfox and the recent ‘Dancando comigo’ by La Fiesta Sound System out on Soulfuric records USA.
Together Michelle and Levi have honed their skills within the La Fiesta Soundsystem and are now stepping out as a writing duo to create a new breed of club classics.
