REAL.8

Did you know that I died. . .and was resurrected?

About Me

REAL.8 is an aspiring musician with a keen understanding of musical composition. Being born in Los Angeles, Ca, REAL.8 has seen his share of crime and misfortune.
After his mother moved to Gwinnett County, Ga, REAL.8 felt disconnected from his roots and experienced an even higher level of resentment for his mother when she and his father got a divorce. With all of the problems that come with a divorce, REAL.8 began to take his pain out on his family, friends, and worst of all himself. Through the pain and self inflicted suffering, REAL.8 wrote his troubling woes in journals, on loose leaf paper, napkins and any other tool he could use for writing.
While at the height of his insanity, as he would call it, REAL.8 found a deep connection with spirituality. A strong relation with God has helped REAL.8 to grow and mature spiritually as well as lyrically; it has given him a more diverse range of topics and insights. As REAL.8 would put his life, “It all started from a “lick” and the ounce really started me off. I felt propelled to package it up and then ship it off. I was a boy so young when I began down that grown man path. Sipping Henny and inhaling all that smoke in my lungs. Doing every or anything just to get me the cash. Because I had to warm the water up in the microwave just to sit down and bathe in the bath, cause times were tough.” He always keeps in the forefront of his mind where he came from, even more so, where he is headed.
REAL.8 has a style all of his own. In a most recent interview, he states, “I want to be in a class of my own. I really don’t want to be compared to anyone else in the game right now. From Poetry to Hip Hop to House to Experimental to Techno, I want to fuse all of the different feels together in my music to transcend all genres and at the end of the day, be able to stand alone.”
REAL.8 has performed at a broad range of venues; from Mason Betha’s Church to The Apache Café, REAL.8s resume is growing as the days go by. He is currently working with the 13 year old prodigy K.1 the Great, in hopes of having K.1’s mixtape complete before the Summer of 08’. He also is working on his own Mixtape, looking to drop around the same time frame.
Keep your eyes open and your ears attentive to see the next move for the up and coming artist REAL.8.Northside Representative

This is the Logo of the MVMNT...
through all of the tries the world uses to take us out, through the lack of fitting in to the "norm" of COOL, through the constant ridicule we bare because we choose to be different; yet and still, we smile...because we know that the endurence is for something way HIGHer than ourselves.
