I'd like to meet:

-Michael AndinoFounder, Estilo Dance Studio, 2006 Born in Manhattan but raised in Ecuador, Mike moved to West New York, New Jersey in his early teens. He was first introduced to salsa in 2000. By 2001, his passion for dancing led him to become both a performer and—with his background in teaching—an invaluable dance instructor. Through dedication, creativity and skill, Mike quickly earned the reputation as one of the East Coast's finest. His soft lead and smooth movements make him a popular choice among the ladies, while his unique styling and shines make him the envy of gentlemen. His knowledge in Latin dancing spans beyond salsa and includes other popular styles such as Mambo, Bachata, Cha-cha-cha and Casino Rueda. He has traveled extensively, performing at Salsa Congresses both locally and internationally. Look for the large crowds in the salsa scene, and you'll find Mike Andino teaching in the center. His inspiration is evidenced by his large following. Whether a student is 5 or 85, Mike is known for helping the beginner-level dancer feel comfortable and confident, while always renforcing his most important rule: to have fun. Although he is always smiling, Michael works hard and takes his career seriously. His drive and motivation led him to become a founding member of Art in Motion Latin Dancers in 2004. Later that year, he launched the successful children's dance group Kids Con Estilo. By 2006, Michael's motivation led him to open his own studio, Estilo Dance Studio, in Philadelphia , PA, where his passion for teaching and dancing continues today.Congress Performances with Art in Motion:2006 - Montreal, Connecticut 2005 - NYNJ festival, Montreal, Rochester, Boston, Houston, Chicago. 2004 - Toronto, Houston, New York, Puerto Rico, Philadelphia, Boston.Other Key Performances:Nov 2004 Tribute to Men in Salsa, Washington, DC Jul 2001 Puerto Rico Salsa Congress (with Salseros Unidos) Apr 2004 Disco America, Cherry Hill, NJWorkshops Taught :2006 Connecticut Salsa Fest 2006 Philadelphia All Stars, Bensalem, PA 2005 Rochester Salsa Weekend, Rochester, NY 2005 Philadelphia All Stars, Bensalem, PA 2004 Philadelphia All Stars, Bensalem, PA 2004 Disco America Cherry Hill, NJKids con Estilo Performances:Apr 2005 Salsa Congress Boston, MA Jun 2005 Salsa Congress Washington, DC July 2005 Children’s Salsa Congress Orlando, FL Sep 2005 Salsa Congress New York, NY Oct 2005 All-star Salsa Cruise ________________________________________-Kathleen EcclestonKathleen’s passion for dancing began in college as a member of the Northeastern University Ballroom Dancing team. While living in Boston, she began taking salsa lessons and soon immersed herself in the art. Upon moving back home to New Jersey, Kathleen studied extensively with Barbara Capaldi, performing locally and nationally with Salseros Unidos. In a short time, Kathleen has broadened her skills and is becoming a more versatile dancer -from dancing at Cuba Libre restaurant, to starring as Cat Woman at Six Flags Great Adventure. In addition to dancing salsa for three years, she has done competitive gymnastics for eight years. Known for her body movement, Kathleen's style is smooth and elegant, but energetic and funky, integrating elements of hip-hop. Now having joined the Art in Motion Latin Dancers, Kathleen is excited about the next milestone in her dancing and teaching career. This energetic dancer, performer and instructor has been dancing salsa for over 4 years. His creativity and love of salsa is evident in his sizzling and fast-paced choreographies. Darlin has danced and performed locally, nationally and internationally, and has been in several competitions. Darlin's latest endeavor has been working with and choreographing a routine for Kids Con Estilo, a local kid's performance group. In addition to his dance career, Darlin has a degree in Architecture and he has an interest in drawing and photography.Congresses: Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Houston, Washington DC, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Puerto Rico, Rochester, Toronto, Montreal, Ireland.________________________________________-Irina PistoletFrom as early as kindergarten, Irina was introduced to various types of developmental activities, as any other kid, in her hometown of Kiev, Ukraine. She sang, knitted, cooked and danced which all became beneficial in her life, but it was dancing that became her life-long passion. Irina's experience ranges from folkloric to hip hop to ballet, but her latest passion is Latin: salsa, bachata, meringue, cha cha cha. Starting with a basic lesson in the Caribbean, Irina's skills have extended to both international and local venue performances. Latin dancing has now become an “addiction” that grows stronger each day."Dancing helps me channel my emotions, explore myself and cope with whatever is going on in my life. The dance floor is where I become the “real” me.It has been my fortune to meet wonderful instructors along my way through learning the Latin rhythms. They encouraged me and presented me with opportunities to take my dancing to the next level (you all know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart). I am blessed to be able to, in turn, share my passion and knowledge with my students, kids who are eager to learn from me and educate me at the same time. It fills me with joy to see them not only develop their talent and improve their skills, but, more importantly, learn about themselves and relate to others, build friendships, and have that special “safe haven” place in dancing.I am glad to have become a part of Estilo dance studio and “Kids con Estilo” dance team, and I look forward to growing this passionate family."________________________________________-Uriel GarciaUriel has been dancing Merengue and Bachata since he has been able to walk, because these dances are a big part of his culture. He was introduced to Salsa in 2001 at the Atrium Dance Studio where he studied for a while. After taking a 4-year break from salsa, he returned to it in 2005 and worked hard under the training of his older brother Darlin. Uriel’s dancing quickly progressed and he joined AIM in the fall of 2005. He has participated not only in several performances, but has competed as well.A performer and instructor, Uriel has extended his artistic talents to choreograph a routine (with Liliana) for the beginner student performance class. In addition, Uriel holds an Associates Degree in Business Technology. He is currently in college working on a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Once this is completed, he intends to pursue a Masters Degree.Congresses:2005 - NYNJ Salsa FestivalOther Performances:2005 - Melao Dance Company Halloween party (DC), Zanzibar MLK event (DC), MLK event (DE), Drexel University, Beyond the Bindi________________________________________-Daniel RoqueDancing has always been a passion of Danny's starting from his childhood. He is now pursuing his next challenge by sharing his talent and knowledge as a salsa instructor.
