OTiS

About Me

is Craig Alan (vocals/ rhythm guitar), Chris Des Biens (lead guitar), Theo Moore (percussion), Dominick Magnotta (drums), Dave Lowenthal (bass), and Justin Etheredge on the Keys. Based out of Brooklyn, OTiS can be defined in three words, Rock, Soul, Groove. Their fans are drawn to the band’s political message, and with front man Craig Alan’s crystal clear voice, the world’s problems never sounded sweeter. With influences ranging from rock, soul, reggae, funk, and blues, audiences don’t know whether to dance, protest or light up.
OTiS was founded by Craig Alan in 2004. Alan was given the nickname ‘Otis’ from fans who compared his voice to that of soul legend Otis Redding. The name stuck. Having successfully scoured New England (and parts of Queens) for a rhythm section, Alan then enlisted best friend Chris Des Biens from his hometown in CT to play lead guitar. Since the release of their first album, the self-titled, ‘OTiS’ (2008), the band has become a staple in the New York City music scene. It’s hard to live in NYC, and not hear about an OTiS show. Look for the release of their second album early this summer.
