The Giving Tree makes me cry. But I'm actually in a book club now in which none of the books have pictures, so I'm very open to suggestions. Also, I'm extremely likely to read any book given to me. And I really hate not finishing a book- so if it's a bad book, chances are likely I'll just stop reading altogether for months until I can muster the courage to just finish the book so I can start reading other books again. Name of The Rose is actually the first book I have ever not finished and have absolutely zero intention of ever picking it up again.
