About Me
The Beautiful Black Woman festival is an annual outdoor festival celebrating the Beautiful Women of Color everywhere. The event is produced by ThemFive, a well respected Greensboro, NC based Grass Roots organization championing for the unity of people of color. This group of five Black men utilizes their talents, know how, and likability to bring the people of Greensboro together once a year for this Beautiful Black Woman Festival. A show laced with local poets, singers, dancers, steppers, rappers, and more is the main focus of the day, with a fashion show to top things off. Vendors, speakers, petitions, and youth activities add even more fun to the event. Past guest have included Mayor of Greensboro, Mrs. Yvonne Johnson, nationally recognized Aggie and gifted artist Monique Johnson, Poetress on the rise Amaris, and that dude that knows everybody, Terrence "TC" Muhammad. There is never an entrance fee, and women of all colors are always sent away feeling pampered and appreciated. The Beautiful Black Woman Festival is held each May at the Aggie Park housed on 15 beautiful private acres of land equipped with a pond, horseshoe pits, plush green grass and Carolina Blue skies. The Aggie Park is located on the corner of E. Florida St & E. Lee St.in Greensboro, NC. Vendor contracts, Sponsorship opportunities, and performer requests available on www.themfive.org
