About Me

My First My Space Wallpaper

My Interests

My Daughter of course, who means the world to me. I find most anything she does amazing and interesting. I am an avid gamer, I like to read, and I love movies. Psychology, politics, other cultures, and history all intrigue me. Basketball of course especially my Knicks, despite being owned and run by an a couple of idiots.

I'd like to meet:

There is really no one I would "like to meet", I do not much have anyone that I idolize, and so I am hard pressed to think of a single person that I would really enjoy meeting. Honestly, even if you did meet someone you looked up to the chances of them living up to your expectations are pretty damn slim. If I DID have to pick someone I would say my Grandfather on my Father's side. He died before I was born, and I think it would be nice to have spoken to him at least once.

Music:

I pretty much can get into anything, I do not however identify with any particular sound. I like classic rock, Blues, Jazz, Marches, Classical, Folk, The Dead, 60's, 50's... shall I go on?

Movies:

I love so many movies; it is impossible to make a list of my favorite ones. I do have several favorites in each genre though, message me sometime if you want to talk movies. It is always a favorite topic of discussion for me, or check out my older blogs I did a write up on movies once.

Television:

Honestly, I do not watch too much TV. I am more of an interactive entertainment guy myself. Games, especially MMORPGs hold my interest a lot more than television. However I do generally have the news or ESPN on in the background.

Books:

"Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin, is my current read of choice. I can not say enough good things about these books or the author. I like to explain the series to people as fantasy writing that has finally grown up."The Lord of the Rings" Tolkien started it all, and he is an amazing writer. Some dismiss him, other worship him. For me personally, I think it would be a sin to write off the father of modern fantasy.

Heroes:

People whom when faced with the worst in life do what is best in all of us. For example the snipers who in Blackhawk Down asked to be inserted into a losing situation, because there were "brothers in arms" on the ground who needed them. Not many would make these kinds of choices, and those of us who do I think are truly heroes.

My Blog

I never thought this day would come...

But the management, ownership, coaches, and players of this team have done what I never thought would occur. They made me not care about the Knicks. Not that I am angry, not that I am livid, or disapp...

To be, or not to be...

To be or not to be; that is the question. - William Shakespe That is an amazing quote isn't it? It has stood the test of time, and is still relevant to this day. You either are or you are not, that is...

The more things change...

It is funny isn't it? How quickly things change. Not long ago Larry Brown was the head coach of the Knicks, Isaiah Thomas was the GM and the Knicks were loosing. Thomas of course blamed Larry Brown, a...

Poor choice of words...

So I have a new term that I hate more than any other at present, and one that in the fine tradition of our nation I will declare "war" on. That is "black on black" crime. Crime is person on pers...

Rumor has it he decided to put Marbury back in as a starter... if you watch the Knicks. (it hurts, a lot so kids do not try this at home) and if you know anything about basketball it is easy to see t...

I had a dream

Isiah Thomas makes me sick... Yeah it might sound like the grumblings of a typical New Yorker (and or Knick fan) but this time it has nothing to do with his bad coaching, horrible moves as a g...

I never thought I would say it but.. I respect Mark Cuban.

I always thought Mark Cuban was a good NBA owner, and a guy who was in many ways good for the league. What he did for the Dallas franchise can not be argued or denied but his penchant for drawing...

Twenty One Years Ago Today

It seems impossible to be but 21  years ago today (June 19, 1986) Lenny Bias died. It was that long ago that the Celtics started their skid downhill, and their once bright future turned...
