Albert Einstein called it the question he most wanted to answer: Why is the Universe like it is? His theories insisted that the universe is orderly and predictable. Religious scholars like C.S. Lewis, who started out an atheist, then became an icon for the theist debate, was certain of the answer. He insisted that the universe is like it is because: there is a purpose; there is a mind behind the whole of nature, which ties it to a literal interpretation of the book of Genesis. In other words the universe is like it is because God created it that way. For many others, like Dr. Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku and Alan Guth would argue that the materialistic, neo-Darwinian theory of evolution says that evolution is entirely blind and purposeless and governed by blind laws, happening by blind chance, and that it's all just a kind of accident. For them the question is meaningless: the universe just is a cosmological accident that was waiting to happen, where through the natural evolutional cycle of mutations and metamorphoses everything fell in to place.Miracles and Singularities Part One

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The one theory that scholars of both faithful and secular can agree upon is that we, humankind, are the product of a process where inanimate matter somehow became animated. To answer the question of why, would at the same time answer the question of how. The paradoxes concerning the answer to this question concerning the two schools of thought is: There is no common sense vision of how inanimate matter becomes animate with out a great deal of intelligent help and even then it is still to us, in our technically advance state, an impossibility. The savants and scholars of physics compare the chances of life happening in the manner they all agree to in theory (automatic amino acid combining)is like a "typhoon hitting a junkyard and creating the Taj Mahal" Where as the faithful has an equalling disturbing task as to how God did it – was it magic or a type of science that we have yet to understand? Both these explanations leave alot to be desired. Miracles are just another word for God magic and singularities are another word for "I don't know, but we will take a guess that you should believe..." There is another choice more in line with human reason. This choice does not involved belief in invisible sorcerers or faith based invisible particles - GenesisSingularity.com
