B Movie Superstars

Boredom spawned the beginnings of BMovieSuperstars, which began with the casual passing by of D(The Pucks) and Mondo(Lung Cookie) outside the local music store in Palm Desert. The chance meeting happened to be what the two needed at the time. What originally resulted was an eclectic blend of bass driven rhythms rooted in hip hop, punk rock, and what everyone else seems to describe as 'alternative'. The line up at the time included Frank Apra on the drums and Chris Poledouris on guitar. Practice sessions were held at the Education Station( a preschool), and Visions Salon, after hours to strengthen the songs and get the band up to speed for live performance, this unfortunately didn't last long. With drums and guitar gone, D and Mondo were back to square one. Soon after with the help of a friends old Rogers drumset and armed with a guitar POD, and a 16 track recorder, Mondo took it upon himself to begin the process of recording the duo's original 8 songs. Guest performer Martin Barrera stepped up to help out his friends during this time. With a decent demo in hand, Mondo called upon his good friend and former bandmate, Tim McMullen(Lung Cookie), to see if he would be interested in playing together once again.
