I am here for Friends

About Me

Il y a un long temps, vous étiez la terre sous mes pieds et les cieux ci-dessus. Maintenant vous êtes le silence la nuit et le vide de mon coeur.
Hmmm...chocolate ice cream, peaches and cream. I'm nothing but a sponge for the written word. Give me letters, give me all of them. I have a sick book collection.
Je veux quelqu'un qui veut exécuter loin avec moi.
"Men always want to be a woman's first love; women have a more subtle instinct: what they like is to be a man's last romance."
-- Oscar Wilde

I’m the girl on the train who’s reading a different book everyday. My friend’s think I’m weird, I think they’re weirder. Every so often I get an urge to start writing a novel. So I’ve written the first half of two. The problem is I’ve never gotten the urge to finish writing one. Oops.
I like candy. If you like candy or like giving me candy, we’ll probably get along.
*I'm from the wild west and find all of this cold weather awful, but not awful enough to move back to the wild west. It’s too wild out there.*
I’m an ex-prodigy child, ex-girlfriend, ex-writer, ex-smurf.
History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it.
- Sir Winston Churchill

After the revolt, half the ovens remain, and we are carried to them together. I catch fire, quickly. The first part of me rises, in dense smoke, that mingles with the smoke of others. Then there are the bones, which settle in ash, and these are swept up to be carried to the river. And last, bits of our dust, that simply float there, in air, around the working of the new group... These bits of dust are grey. We settle on their shoes, and on their faces, and in their lungs. And they become so used to us, that soon they don't cough, and they don't brush us away. At this point, they are just moving, breathing and moving, like anyone else, still alive in that place. And this is how the work... continues.
-Girl, "The Grey Zone"

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who have a favorite author. People who read the news.

You should know this person
BUY-BY BRIAN

When you were young
You were the king of carrot flowers
And how you built a tower tumbling through the trees
In holy rattlesnakes that fell all around your feet
And your mom would stick a fork right into daddy's shoulder
And your dad would throw the garbage all across the floor
As we would lay and learn what each other's bodies were for
And this is the room
One afternoon I knew I could love you
And from above you how I sank into your soul
Into that secret place where no one dares to go
And your mom would sink until she was no longer speaking
And dad would dream of all the different ways to die
Each one a little more than he could dare to try
..

"Okay, here it is, your choice... it's simple, her or me, and I'm sure she is really great. But Derek, I love you, in a really, really big pretend to like your taste in music, let you eat the last piece of cheesecake, hold a radio over my head outside your window, unfortunate way that makes me hate you, love you. So pick me, choose me, love me."

vote for pickles and sunshine

I miss the sun. I miss wearing shorts and tank tops and flip flops. I never dealt with winter in Chicago well. I've never liked the cold, snow, or rain. The weather here is not terrible, by any means....

law and order

For years now I have always avoided the original Law and Order. I've always been more of a Criminal Intent and SVU sort of girl. That is until I got so sick of being taught a moral lesson about not hu...

I have a cat that is getting more and more fat every day. He even tried to eat the dog's food as the dog was trying to eat it, which almost ended up with the dog eating the cat's head for dinner. I ha...

I slept most of the morning and afternoon. I would wake up, read a bit of a book, then drift back. Partially because I'm exhausted, but not completely. It's been a long time since I could lay in bed o...
