Addiction - Live Performance by Brianni Davis
..
Brianni Davis is a self-proclaimed newcomer to the spoken word scene. Although she started writing poetry during her freshman year in high school, she didn't perform until her first year of college at UCLA, making herself known at various events on campus. She has performed at spoken word events for student organizations, fraternities and sororities at UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cal State East Bay, and San Jose State, at the world-renown Poetry Lounge in Los Angeles, performed weekly at the well-known Jahva House in Oakland from 2002-2004, and at Mouth Off Wednesdays at the Air Lounge in Oakland from 2006 to the present. Ms. Davis has also been a featured performer at AM Entertainment's Poetically Speaking.
Ms. Davis is currently working on cultivating her craft, learning from those who have come before her and striving constantly to reach her personal best. She has just finished her first poetry book titled: No Crystal Stair: Poems of Survival and Perseverance which is currently on sale- please contact her for purchase options and information. She is busy creating her first Spoken Word mixtape which has a scheduled release date of Fall 2008. A UC Berkely graduate in 2005, she plans to apply to law school and to use her law degree in the Sports and Entertainment field. She hopes to continue to use spoken word as a method of reaching the hearts of those around her. Feel free to contact her with any comments, criticism or thoughts about her work- she is still a work in progress....
