Innermost's sound is a combination of current popular rock mixed with sounds from the underground. Their songs take the listener from dreamy sound-scapes to deafening heavy rhythms. Innermost writes songs of hope and promise and the darker sounds are illuminated by positive and honest lyrics.
INNERMOST was started by Justin and Terry who had been jamming for many years together. In the beginning of 2008 Matt and Jarrett joined forces with the group and it was official, the MOST was set to stake its claim as New Orleans' only real heavy rock band. We have gone through a few drummers in this first year as a band but fate was in our favor when we tried out Joey Bullock, former drummer for Rising Sun. He quickly showed us his skill and heart and we are excited to have him in the band. We are also excited to introduce Jeremy Young (formerly of Merry Go Drown and Whiskey And A Revolver) as our new bassist. We have grown a lot this last year, our sound has changed, improved, and grown more aggressive. The songs are a little shorter, and whole lot more energetic.
