I am the drummer for Jason Tyler Band and was born and raised in Erhard Minnesota. My career started 20 years ago playing in clubs and bars in Minnesota to make a living. From there I pushed and drove myself to succeed to my fullest extent. I have played with numerous great musicians, Jimmie Van Zant, Jack Starr (Guardians of the Flame), Michael Jervis (Sam and Dave), and Jeff Healey (The Jeff Healy Band), Paul Marko (Palace of Black)& (November67) & (The Shocks). I have opened for some of the greatest bands in the world such as 38 Special, Jackyl, Lit, Live, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Charlie Daniels, Head East, Marshall Tucker, John Corbett, Foghat, and many more. I have alway's loved to be in the studio and being a session drummer, the click track has become a close friend to me. My accomplishments have taken me all over the nation as well as internationally. I have also been on records which have been signed as well as unsigned. My close friends would agree I have a very creative mind which helps in any writing process, as well as production and on stage.
I have toured nationally and internationally for years and am ready to play anywhere and any time. I am now residing in Florida to further my music career as well as continuing education as a musician. If I were to name a couple of styles in which I have molded himself around, it would probably be Neil Peart, John Bonham, Artimus Pyle and Shannon Larkin. These musicians have been big influences in the style I prefer. My energy and hard hitting, are a couple things everyone notices, as well as my animation. Not only am great to play with but fun to watch. I believe I bring a high energy, dynamic, fun, unique creativity to any band in the studio or performing processes.
