A member of the official Playstation forums got his Logitech PC controller working with his Playstation 3 with just a simple plug in. The gamer claims his controller is 5 years old, so apparently you don't need any fancy PC controller to get it to work with your PS3. This might be a great alternative for a cheap substitute controller and possible a substitute for the DualShock3 (rumble).PS3HaX member TicHack has just stumbled upon something interesting. He found a way to boot up a DVD under the OS and after viewing his .TIFF image he can take the hard drive OFF and still continue to use PS3 firmware v1.93.How to do this:* Download and place TIFF file on a USB/flash drive. * View the TIFF on the PS3 and copy it to HDD, it should show up as CORRUPTED DATA. * Remove the PS3's HDD at this point and view the TIFF image again. * You should now be able to go to Game Data Utility - Save Data Utility and I can use the TRIANGLE (e.g Eject Disc,Copy etc) also plug in External Devices and so ON.PS3HAX EXCLSUIVE: PS3HaX member drwoogie has just unveiled a rather easy way to play PS2 and PS1 backups on your PS3 (without installing the switch mod to do this.) This process does involve taking apart your PS3, but only to expose the BluRay drive in order to perform the swap. Here is the video of this in action:
