Ralph Douglas West is the Pastor/Founder of The Church Without Walls. He was educated at Bishop College, Dallas, TX, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy/Religion; Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas where he received a Master of Divinity and Biblical Languages Degree; and Samford University, Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, AL where he received a Doctor of Ministry Degree. He has also studied at Cambridge and Oxford Universities . He received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center at Morehouse School of Religion, Atlanta, GA in May 2004.
Pastor West was inducted into the Martin Luther King, Jr., Board of Preachers as a Distinguished Preacher, Morehouse College , Atlanta GA in March 1998. He serves on the board of the Interdenominational Theological Center, Morehouse College, Atlanta , GA. He has lectured at ITC, Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA; Baylor College, Waco, TX; Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton , NJ; Samford University , Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, AL and B.H. Carroll Theological Institute, Houston, TX .
In 1987, Pastor West became the founding pastor of Brookhollow Baptist Church (The Church Without Walls). Under his leadership the congregation has grown from 32 members to well over 14,000 members (9,500 families), and worships on two campuses. In May 2006, Broadman and Holman Publishers released his book, Finding Fullness Again. Pastor West is also featured in the 2006 Global Directory of Who's Who.
Pastor West is married to Sheretta Machell Grays West and has two sons, Ralph Douglas II, and Ralpheal Daniel.[LOVEMYFLASH]
